I am leaving the stage to mingle with the audience and talk about art. That’s how my role changed from classical singer to art mediator at Manifesta 11 feels. I am looking for opportunities to combine classical music with the visual arts. So Manifesta and its experimental nature offer the perfect place for me to get involved and get inspired. I am looking forward to showing you, for example, Franz Erhard Walther’s art. Along with his Zurich host, the textile developer Thomas Deutschenbauer, the artist combines handcraft with performance art in the luxurious setting of the Park Hyatt Hotel. The staff of the Hyatt will serve the customers in halved uniforms. Art education brings people closer to art. It’s a shame to consume art on a superficial level only. Through the exchange with art mediators, art leaves more lasting traces.
