At the heart of Manifesta 11 will be the Pavillon of Reflections, a floating platform erected on Lake Zurich. Here, visitors will be able to witness crucial moments in the creation of the artworks as captured in a series of movie productions. Curator Christian Jankowski explains about the project: “In the daytime, the Pavillon of Reflections will function as an urban island, a meeting place and open-air swimming area, while at night it will turn into an open-air cinema.” Films will be shown which will document key moments in the production phase.

You can find more informations about the opening times and location of the Pavillon of Reflections here.The documentary films are being produced in co-operation with students and graduates of the Cast/Audiovisual Media Department at the ZHdK. Christian Jankowski is artistic director for the films. The students, under the guidance of Martin Zimper, will be working together with former students. The core team includes Marwan Abdalla, Miloš Saviç, Remo Schluep. These contributions will be moderated by Zurich high-school students, who will accompany Manifesta 11 as art detectives. Manifesta 11 Pavillon of Reflections supported by EKZ, designed and constructed by Studio Tom Emerson, ETH Zürich.
Every Wednesday from 5pm the Pavillon is closed due to privat events.
